Privacy Policy
CareCue is designed to leave nothing behind. No names. No identifiers. No stored data. When you close the tool, nothing stays.
1. Who We Are
CareCue is a real-time care guidance platform operated by CareCue LLC. We provide AI-powered tools to support care partners, families, and professionals in dementia care and neurodiversity support. You can reach us at support@carecue.io.
2. What Information We Collect
CareCue's tools are designed to be used without creating an account or providing personal information. Specifically:
- No personal identification is collected — we do not ask for your name, email, or any identifying information to use the tools.
- No session data is stored — guidance requests and responses are processed in real time and not retained on our servers.
- No resident or client information is stored — care partners are instructed not to include names, room numbers, or identifying details when describing situations. We do not log this information.
If you contact us via email (support@carecue.io), we will receive your email address and the content of your message, which we use only to respond to your inquiry.
If you create a family account or make a purchase, we collect only what is necessary to process your transaction. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; CareCue does not store payment card information.
3. How We Use Information
Any information received through CareCue is used only to:
- Provide real-time guidance responses through the tool
- Process transactions (where applicable)
- Respond to support inquiries
- Improve the overall quality and accuracy of CareCue's guidance
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. HIPAA and Health Information
CareCue is not a covered entity under HIPAA and is not designed to store, transmit, or process protected health information (PHI). Our tools are specifically designed to function without any PHI input — care partners are instructed to describe situations without including names or identifying details.
Because no personal health information is stored or transmitted, CareCue does not create HIPAA compliance obligations for organizations or individuals who use it.
5. Cookies and Tracking
CareCue uses minimal session-based cookies to support basic tool functionality (such as tracking whether a passcode has been entered during a session). These cookies do not contain personal information and expire when you close your browser.
For family caregiver access, a cookie may be used to track whether a free guidance has been used, in order to apply the one-free-use limit. This cookie does not contain personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking.
6. Third-Party Services
CareCue uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic — powers the AI guidance engine. Guidance inputs are processed through Anthropic's API. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy for their data practices.
- Vercel — hosts the CareCue platform. Standard web server logs may be generated.
- Stripe — processes payments for family accounts (where applicable). Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
- Resend — delivers email guidance summaries when a care partner chooses to share guidance with a supervisor. No data is stored; email delivery only.
7. Children's Privacy
CareCue is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through CareCue, please contact us at support@carecue.io.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of CareCue after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
